Happy Mother's Day!

For the past 3 years, I have looked forward to this special day and today has been no exception! A sweet voice woke me up this morning saying, "Happy Mother's Day Mommy! I have a present for you!" Ethan was standing next to my bed grinning from ear to ear. We have had such a great day playing and laughing together! I even received my very first homemade mother's day gift today! Ethan painted me a flower using his handprint! David went to get him from his Sunday School class, and I met him in the hallway. He came running down the hallway with his picture in his hand saying, "Happy Mother's Day! I made this for you Mommy!" I really don't know if he understands what those special words mean, but he does know that when he says them I get really excited and my arms open up for him to hug me! It is amazing how emotions and feelings are understood between two humans when the two touch or embrace even when they might not fully comprehend the meaning of the words being said! One day Ethan and William will understand how special it is to me to hear them tell me Happy Mother's Day, and I am so thankful that God has given me that gift on such a wonderful day!

Will can sit up on his own now! Friday night was the very first time he sat up all on his own! I was a little sad for just a moment because I realized how fast he is changing and growing up, but I just love this stage of development! He looks so cute sitting up and smiling! He looks so proud of himself! Will felt grass for the first time this weekend! All he wanted to do was eat it!! He is now eating cereal, and he loves it! Not sure really how much he is consuming because he loves to put his fingers in his mouth while I am trying to feed him and he spreads it all over his face! It is VERY messy, but soooo much fun!!! Ethan did not put his fingers in his mouth so this is new to me!

Hope you enjoy the pictures we took this weekend! Notice there is none of me on mother's day.... I did not like any of the ones we took of me.....so we are going to re-enact next Sunday! HA!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, and aunts who are such special gifts to us all!
