My Daddy ..... Goliath

One of our favorite things about summer is VBS. Our church puts on a play each year for the children. This year we are learning about King David! Our David (Daddy) loves to be in the play each summer! This year he is Goliath! Which he was thrilled about! Ethan was very proud of his Daddy, but a little worried when the young boy made his Daddy fall with the sling shot! Ethan kept saying, "Why is he not getting up?" Ethan was most impressed with Daddy's big knife (sword)! I love the picture where Ethan is looking at David's shoes! He had custom made platforms!!! Ethan even tried to put them on in the dressing room!

The Messy Eater!!!!

I have never seen any child eat the way Will does! I really am not sure how much he is consuming! He is the hardest child to feed! Will loves to eat, but also loves to take the spoon and eat it, smear the food everywhere, chew on his fingers while he eats, and snort food up his nose. You thought snot was hard to syringe out of a baby's nose try syringing out peas or carrots! I have been asking my mom if this is normal and she would just laugh at me! Well .....she, my aunt, and cousin saw first hand this weekend just how hard it is to feed Will! They were quite entertain! Maybe by his first date he will learn proper table manners! Oh how I hope this is just a phase!
But he sure is cute after a bath!!!!

Popsicles, Visiting Cousins, Baseball Games, and Running Through the Sprinkler EQUALS Summertime!!!!!

Summertime has begun in the Bozeman's household! The Houston HEAT might be the first clue! The second clue would be how we stay in our PJ's and play all day long! The third clue would be that we (Ethan mainly) eat popsicles everyday! Popsicles are Ethan's new found love! He gets to have one or two after nap each day. He tries to eat them for breakfast, but Mommy has not given into that request yet! The fourth clue is that our TV shows are reruns, but we don't care because we get to watch the Astros almost every night! We can't wait to go to Minute Maid park and see them play! The fifth clue is that it is a good thing that we have to water our grass on a daily basis because it is free entertainment for my son! Ethan loves to run through the sprinklers and doesn't seemed to mind that he is fully clothed with tennis shoes and all! The sixth clue would be that we get to visit our family in Louisiana. We went home this weekend to see our family, and Ethan enjoyed playing with his cousin Kameron! For the past two days he has talked about Kameron and told me Kameron can do that Mommy or Kameron said that Mommy!

We love the Lazy Days of Summer!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

For the past 3 years, I have looked forward to this special day and today has been no exception! A sweet voice woke me up this morning saying, "Happy Mother's Day Mommy! I have a present for you!" Ethan was standing next to my bed grinning from ear to ear. We have had such a great day playing and laughing together! I even received my very first homemade mother's day gift today! Ethan painted me a flower using his handprint! David went to get him from his Sunday School class, and I met him in the hallway. He came running down the hallway with his picture in his hand saying, "Happy Mother's Day! I made this for you Mommy!" I really don't know if he understands what those special words mean, but he does know that when he says them I get really excited and my arms open up for him to hug me! It is amazing how emotions and feelings are understood between two humans when the two touch or embrace even when they might not fully comprehend the meaning of the words being said! One day Ethan and William will understand how special it is to me to hear them tell me Happy Mother's Day, and I am so thankful that God has given me that gift on such a wonderful day!

Will can sit up on his own now! Friday night was the very first time he sat up all on his own! I was a little sad for just a moment because I realized how fast he is changing and growing up, but I just love this stage of development! He looks so cute sitting up and smiling! He looks so proud of himself! Will felt grass for the first time this weekend! All he wanted to do was eat it!! He is now eating cereal, and he loves it! Not sure really how much he is consuming because he loves to put his fingers in his mouth while I am trying to feed him and he spreads it all over his face! It is VERY messy, but soooo much fun!!! Ethan did not put his fingers in his mouth so this is new to me!

Hope you enjoy the pictures we took this weekend! Notice there is none of me on mother's day.... I did not like any of the ones we took of me.....so we are going to re-enact next Sunday! HA!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, and aunts who are such special gifts to us all!

The Feeling is Mutual!

David took this picture of the boys one afternoon while they were playing on the family room floor! I love the expression on Ethan's face! This is the way he looks each time he talks to his baby brother! Will lights up every time Ethan talks to him! He also watches Ethan's every move! Today, a lady behind me at the cash register in Wal-Mart asked me if Ethan liked his baby brother. I told her yes. He actually adores him. After we got in the car, I thought about what she had asked me and realized that Ethan will always be the big brother Will looks up to. It actually brought tears to my eyes when I thought about them growing up together. May you always look to each other with the same happiness and joy in your eyes that you hold in your eyes today.

Thank Heavens for SWEET Little Boys!

Come Little Ducklings.....

I was at a restaurant not to long ago with some friends and a family of ducks walked up to us on the patio while we were eating. I have never in my life seen so many baby ducklings at once with one Mommy. Ethan was so excited to see them and was not at all scared. He walked right up to them. I was amazed at how they all watched their mother and how they responded to her. When she decided that it was time to leave, they all gathered around her and followed her away from the patio. If only my little ducklings (at school and at home) would listen to me this well---it would be so awesome! Isn't nature a beautiful and amazing site to see. God is truly beautiful! Hope you take a moment soon to enjoy God's beauty around you!

One of my favorite children's book is- Little Quack by Lauren Thompson. She has a series of books about a young duck named Little Quack that are all so precious. The pictures are priceless and the story is so cute!!! Check it out and read it to your babies! They will love them and so will you!

Saturday Mornings

Don't you just LOVE Saturday mornings! This morning was just perfect! Ethan was in such a great mood! He loves to help get Will out of his bed when Will is ready to wake up! Ethan's new thing is to ask Will - "Did you have good dreams?" It is the sweetest thing. I was able to capture that moment today on my camera! I know that one day I will have to remind Ethan of how sweet he once was to his little brother, but for now I am going to enjoy every moment of harmony I get!!!

David and I made a pack with one another that this Saturday we were CLEANING the house TOGETHER! So he let me sleep a little longer this morning and when I went into the kitchen he was already cleaning! It was such a wonderful site to see! While we were cleaning this morning, Ethan found David's boots and started walking around in them! I think every little boy has a picture with their Daddy's boots on! He was so proud that he did it by himself! He proudly told David- "I did it all by myself!" Too cute!!!! Also while we were cleaning this morning, Will decided to roll all over the family room floor. I would put him on the blanket and when I returned to the room, Ethan reported to me that Will was off his blanket! Last night, Will rolled from his back to his stomach! I of course did not get to see the first one! I have not yet seen either of my children roll over for the first time! Once he did roll over, we all three sat and watched him for about 30 minutes waiting to see it again! I am sure he thought, "why are these crazy people standing over me with those silly grins, and what are they saying?" HA!!! Apparently, Will enjoys rolling around! He has been content to do it all morning!

I LOVE Saturday mornings! Hope you all stop and enjoy a Saturday morning with your family soon!
